EMR, EMT, AEMT Practical Exam – Stowe @ Stowe Public Safety Building

There may be staggered start times for this event, being held at the Stowe Public Safety Building on June 19.  Event is scheduled to begin at 0800.  Tammy Lurvey will email participants as the exam gets closer to discuss start times.

Deadline for AEMT candidates to provide VT EMS with PATT numbers is June 1, 2021.

This National Registry practical exam will include the following levels:

EMR: Emergency Medical Responder

EMT: Emergency Medical Technician

AEMT: Advanced Emergency Medical Technician

Students should receive exam applications from their instructors, training officers or the EMS office one month prior to the test date. Applications can also be downloaded from the Documents page on the Vermont EMS website. Candidates do not need to register with Exam Coordinators, but may seek directions from them.

This exam is being held at the First Branch Ambulance / Chelsea Fire Station at 324 VT Route 110 in Chelsea on 8/1/21.

Bennington (Hybrid) AEMT Class @ Statewide
Sep 1 all-day

Hybrid AEMT Class Information:

The Hybrid AEMT course is a 3-part course consisting of: 15 weeks of online learning meeting once a week for a 2-hour online instructor-led session, a 30-hour in-person simulation lab to practice AEMT skills & scenarios, and clinical experiences in EMS and the hospital emergency departments.  The online portion of the AEMT class will be held from 9/1/21 to 12/15/21.  There are several simulation lab enrollment options.  Clinical experiences take place after the simulation lab.  Visit www.benningtonrescue.org for more information and to enroll in the course.

This course will prepare you for the National Registry Emergency Medical Technician AEMT certification exams.  In addition to this certification, in order to become a State of Vermont licensed AEMT, you must become affiliated with a VT EMS licensed EMS organization.
