This National Registry practical exam will include the following levels:
EMR: Emergency Medical Responder
EMT: Emergency Medical Technician
Students should receive exam applications from their instructors, training officers or the EMS office one month prior to the test date. Applications can also be downloaded from the Documents page on the Vermont EMS website. Candidates do not need to register with Exam Coordinators, but may seek directions from them.

Fairfax VEFR Class Information:
This VT Emergency First Responder class will meet at Fairfax Rescue from 8/28/21 to 8/29/21. You must contact the course coordinators Bambi Dame or Kathy Jochim at firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
This course will prepare you for certification as a Vermont Emergency First Responder. After successful completion of this introductory course, you will also be receive certification in the Heartsaver First Aid, CPR & AED (or equivalent). UVM Hybrid/Online EMT Class Information:
This EMT class will meet online and the student’s agency from 8/30/21 – 12/10/21. You must contact the course coordinator Adam Boise at email@example.com to register.
This course will prepare you for the National Registry Emergency Medical Technician certification exam, which will be scheduled after successful completion of this course. In addition to this certification, in order to become a State of Vermont licensed EMT, you must become affiliated with an approved EMS organization.
