COVID-19 Response Volunteer to Help @ Statewide

Vermont health care providers are working overtime to assure everyone receives the best care during this COVID-19 pandemic.  Vermont’s Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) units are community-based groups of volunteers who supplement public health resources with their existing skills.

MRC volunteers are being utilized for COVID-19 vaccine operations as vaccine quantities allow for administration at the Local Health Offices.   Both medical and non-medical volunteers are used at the clinics.  The minimum ask for Vaccination Clinic staffing is to be willing to service at one (1) clinic per week for eight (8) hours for three (3) months. This work will be in person, and PPE (surgical masks and gloves, with face shields for vaccinators) will be provided. Frequency of actually being scheduled for a shift varies based on the size of the staffing pool in each location.

For Vermont Department of Health information on COVID-19 please visit here.

For becoming involved with the MRC, please visit the How to Join page.

On Tuesday, May 25th, 2021 MRC program is having a statewide Zoom Meeting from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm to touch on COVID-19 Pandemic activities throughout the response and have, you, the volunteers give Shout-Outs/Messages of Appreciation to fellow volunteers and crews you worked with at different sites.

Hope to read some and show others with music, along with some of the MRC quotes previously submit by folks in April.  As well as have the opportunity for volunteers, if wish, to speak/tell any personal stories/experiences to the group.

Please help share your Shout-Outs/Messages of Appreciation for fellow volunteers here (before 2:00 pm, May 19th): https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/6335410/MRC-Shout-Outs-Messages-of-Appreciation-2020-to-2021
