Join the Northeast Kingdom MRC at their monthly meeting for a presentation on Hepatitis A. Hepatitis A is a vaccine-preventable, communicable disease of the liver.
Since 2016, more than 20 states, including New Hampshire and Massachusetts, have reported hepatitis A outbreaks. Over 22,000 cases have been reported, with a hospitalization rate near 60%. Recent outbreaks primarily affect adults and cause severe disease.
