EMS District 6 is Seeking Actors (MRC and others) to portray victims in a Full-Scale Exercise @ Vermont Statehouse Lawn in Montpelier

Vermont EMS District 6 is Seeking Actors (MRC and others) to portray victims in a Full-Scale Exercise on Friday, March 6th at the Vermont Statehouse in Montpelier.

More than 15 agencies will respond to a simulated incident to test the capabilities of local public safety agencies to manage a large-scale emergency.

The actors will serve a valuable service to the community by allowing emergency medical service and hospitals to practice treating mass casualties after such an incident. Some of the actors will be made up to simulate injuries and add to the realistic nature of the exercise.

No experience is necessary. Actors must be available from 6 a.m. until 12 p.m. on the day of the exercise. Parking and refreshments will be available. Informational briefings will be held the week prior to the exercise. Actors must be willing to be moulaged, act as if in pain, if applicable, and be willing to ride in an ambulance.

Vermont EMS District 6 covers all of Washington County and part of Orange County. This encompasses over 22 towns and 15 EMS services. District 6 is dedicated to providing the highest possible quality of pre-hospital emergency care, as well as extensive training and continuing education opportunities.
