Vermont health care providers are working overtime to assure everyone receives the best care during this COVID-19 pandemic.  Vermont’s Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) units are community-based groups of volunteers who supplement public health resources with their existing skills.

MRC volunteers are being utilized for COVID-19 vaccine operations as vaccine quantities allow for administration at the Local Health Offices.   Both medical and non-medical volunteers are used at the clinics.  The minimum ask for Vaccination Clinic staffing is to be willing to service at one (1) clinic per week for eight (8) hours for three (3) months. This work will be in person, and PPE (surgical masks and gloves, with face shields for vaccinators) will be provided. Frequency of actually being scheduled for a shift varies based on the size of the staffing pool in each location.
